PYKS: Toolbar - Resize Tool

Learn how to use the Resize Tool in Pyks to adjust the overall dimensions of your project area, reposition the crop frame, and apply or reset changes. Note that this tool resizes the project area — not individual layers.

The Resize Tool allows users to adjust the dimensions of the entire project area. For resizing individual images or layers, users can use the move tool to change width and height without affecting the overall project size.

How to Use the Resize Tool

When using the resize tool, it will resize the project area. If you made your project area smaller, the image/layers will get cut off.

  1. On the left side of the screen, click on the resize tool.

  2. On the right side of the screen, you'll see the resize tool settings.

  3. Change the numbers of the width and height to resize your project. You can resize the width and height separately by clicking the lock to unlock it.

  4. A square will be placed over the project area based on the new size. You can move the square around so that the image you want to capture is within that square.

  5. Once you're satisfied with the changes, click Apply.

  6. If you made a mistake or want to change back to the original size, click reset.
