Toonly: How Do I Edit Multiple Items At The Same Time?

Learn how to select and edit multiple items at the same time in Toonly using click-and-drag or Ctrl/Cmd+Click, and how to resize or adjust their duration together in the timeline.

Selecting Multiple Items (Text, Characters, Objects)

  1. Highlight all items you would like to edit at the same time.

    1. Click, then start dragging the mouse over all the items you would like to edit. This will select all the items.

    2. Now you can edit all the items together, like resize, change direction, flip, turn, etc.

      • Note: Some functionality does not work when trying to edit multiple different types of items, like text and characters together. In this case, select multiple texts or multiple characters separately.

  2. Use Ctrl/Cmd to select the items.

    • Ctrl + Click the items that you want to edit. (Windows)

    • Cmd + Click the items that you want to edit. (Mac)

Additional Notes

  • When you select multiple items, you will be able to move them in the timeline together.

  • Example:

    • You can change the duration of these items in the timeline by selecting them and stretching them.
