Toonly: How Do I Record A Voiceover?

Learn how to record a voiceover in Toonly, including how to start and stop recording, record from a specific point in the timeline, adjust sound settings, and select the correct input device if using multiple microphones.

Record A Voiceover

  1. To record a voiceover, click on the small circle next to the mic icon located at the bottom left-hand side of the Toonly timeline.

  2. The small circle will turn red, which will indicate that it is recording. Clicking on the small circle again will stop the recording. The circle will turn grey, which indicates that you are no longer recording.

Record Voiceover From A Specific Part Of The Timeline

  1. You can record from specific sections in the timeline by moving the vertical orange line to the position where you wish to start recording.

Customize Sound Settings

  1. Right-clicking on the voice recording in the timeline will bring up the sound settings options, where you can delete the recording, play through, and control the volume.

Multiple Microphone

  • If you have multiple microphones, please make sure to select the proper input device before clicking record. You can do so by clicking the drop-down arrow next to the mic icon.
