Selecting a Video
Go to your video drive and choose a video to work with.
Accessing Text/Annotation Settings
Under the player settings on the left-hand side, navigate to interactions.
There are two ways to add text to your video.
Text: has the ability to move the text around on your video
Annotation: has the ability to add actions on click
Add Text To Your Video
Click on the text icon and drag it into your timeline.
Click on the text icon in the timeline (it will be highlighted in blue) to access text settings on the right side of your screen.
In the text settings, you have several customization options.
Duplicate
Delete
Change text
Adjust font size/style/color
Adjust border size and color
Save your changes.
Add Annotations To Your Video
Drag the annotation text icon onto the timeline.
Click on the annotation text icon in the timeline (it will be highlighted in blue) to access the annotation settings on the right side of your screen.
In your annotation settings, you have several customization options
Duplicate
Delete
Change annotation text
Add action on click
Do nothing
Dismiss: Annotation text box will disappear
Open URL: Add a URL
Close video (for modal)
Adjust font size/style/color
Change background color
Change opacity
Save your changes.
Adjustments In the Timeline
Move the playhead (yellow/orange color line) in the timeline so that it is on top of your text or annotation to preview it in the video.
Drag text and annotations box to adjust their placement on the timeline.
Customize the duration by shortening or lengthening the text/annotation box.
Troubleshoot
Duplicate Text Not Showing In Video
Drag one text box away and the other text box will be underneath
Cannot Access Text Or Annotation Settings
In the time, click on the text/annotation box and the settings will appear on the right.
It can also help to drag the playhead on top of the item you wish to work on.
Can't Move Annotation Text
There are no options to move the annotation text on the video.
Can't Add Action To Text
There are no options to add action to text. We suggest using the annotation option.
