Troubleshooting Your Voice Recording

Can't hear your Doodly voice recording or can't record a voice recording? By the end of this article, we will have gone through troubleshooting steps that you can take if you find that you are unable to hear your Doodly voice recording.

What you will need

• A Doodly Account
• A Project Created

Step 1: Restarting Your Computer

We are first going to start by closing out the Doodly Application and restarting your computer.

Please Note: Upon restarting your computer, do not unplug or plug in any speakers or microphone within your existing setup.

Step 2: Re-Opening Doodly

After completing step one, you are going to want to open up Doodly as well as your Doodly project and see if your project audio is now working.

Step 3: Check Your Computers Output

If after completing step two you are still unable to hear project audio, you are going to want to check your computer's current output to ensure that the speakers you are using are what is currently selected. 

On a Mac Go to: System Preferences > Sound > Output (if you are not using any external speakers, you will want to make sure that the built-in speaker option is selected).

On a PC Go to: Your Sound Setting Icon at the Bottom > Right Click and go to Sound Settings > Open the List of Devices Drop-Down > Sound > Select Your Device.

Step 4: Check Your Computers Input

If after completing step three you are still unable to hear your project audio, it is possible that your microphone input is not selected properly, therefore, causing the audio to not be recorded.

On a Mac Go to: System Preferences > Sound > Input (if you are not using any external speakers you will want to make sure that the built-in speaker option is selected).

On a PC Go to: Your Sound Setting Icon at the Bottom > Right Click and go to Sound Settings > Open the List of Devices Drop-Down > Input > Select Your Device.
